The four-day cultural symposium at the "Cross of Armenian Unity” CCNGO was summed up with the proclamation of Machanents fortress city.
During four days "The Poet and the Wine" literary symposium, an internal theatrical festival and a wine conference were held here. The proclamation ceremony of Machanents cultural fortress city took place on the last day. The symposium was attended by Cornel Ionescu, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Armenia, Maria Corotina the Second Deputy of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin, Acting Minister of Education, Science Culture and Sport Vahram Dumanyan and Deputy Minister Ara Kzmalyan, Mayor of Ejmiatsin Diana Gasparyan, representatives of Armavir Marzpetaran, intellectuals, cultural figures and culture lovers. Acting Minister of Education, Science Culture and Sport Vahram Dumanyan delivered a welcoming speech and awarded Grigor Machanents Babakhanyan, the founder of the "Cross of Armenian Unity" CCNGO a gold medal of the ministry for his contribution to the development and publicity of the Armenian culture.
During the event, the first passports of Machanents cultural fortress city were issued and the poets participating in the first "The Poet and the Wine" literary symposium were awarded certificates.
