At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador visited the Historical and Ethnographic Museum and got acquainted with the exhibits. His Excellency paid special attention to the printing press gifted by Queen Victoria to Khrimyan Hayrik.
The printing press is a donation from Queen Victoria of the Great Britain to the Catholicos of All Armenians Mkrtich I (Khrimyan Hayrik). In 1893, the Queen decided to present a printing press to the newly elected Catholicos. And so, in 1894, the press was transferred by the Bible Society of the Great Britain to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin printing house in Armenia. Later, it was moved to the city printing․
In 1982, the machine was transferred to the Historical and Ethnographic Museum, where it is carefully displayed until today.
The museum also displays the last issue of the city newspaper printed in 1981 with this machine.
