Within the framework of the events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Armenian Army a Greco-Roman wrestling tournament was held with participation of over 230 athletes representing the sports schools of different marzes of Armenia in age groups of 2008-2009 and 2010- 2011 years.
The honorary guests of the tournament were the serviceman of different subdivisions of RA Armed Forces, who were awarded with letters of gratitude on the occasion of the professional holiday.
The people who had a contribution in the development of sports in the city were also awarded with letters of gratitude.
The team cup of the tournament was won by the team of № 1 sports school of Vagharshapat.
Sport and the Army walk side by side, associated with and complementing each other. Today's young athletes are the soldiers of tomorrow with their power and strong will, which our country needs so much.
