A KHACHKAR (CROSS-STONE) DEDICATED TO THE VICTIMS OF THE LAST ARTSAKH WAR IN THE YARD OF №4 BASIC SCHOOL
CultureA khachkar (cross-stone) and a remembrance board dedicated to the victims of the last Artsakh war, the graduates Samvel Manaseryan, Alen Aghazaryan, Armen Vardanyan and Artur Sargsyan were placed in the yard of the Basic School №4 after Khachatur Abovyan.
The relatives of the fallen heroes, Mayor Diana Gasparyan, Deputy Head of Armavir Marz Argishti Mekhakyan, Head of the Administration of Education, Culture and Sports of Armavir Marzpetaran Sonya Budaghyan, Members of the Council of Elders of Ejmiatsin, representatives of the military, the police, the educational and cultural institutions and non-governmental organizations were present at the ceremony. The idea to place a khachkar was initiated by Samvel Manaseryan’s classmates.
The consecration was performed by Archbishop Sion Adamyan, the Primate of the Armavir Diocese.The opening of the khachkar was concluded with a matinee dedicated to the vivid memory of the heroes.
