The participants of the program "Step toward home", initiated by the RA Ministry of Diaspora, paid an informative visit to Ejmiatsin. The aim of the program is to introduce Armenia to our young compatriots in the Diaspora. Ejmiatsin was an awaited place for 13-21 year old Armenian young people from Diaspora. During the educational-informative visit they managed to visit Khor Virap, Garni, a number of museums and cultural centers.
In Ejmiatsin, the young people also visited “Cross of Armenian Unity'' Charitable Cultural Non-Governmental Organization, had a tour in the territory of the organization rich in Armenian colors, listened to Armenian folk songs performed by the students of Machanents Studio and participated in a national dance master class.
Acting Mayor of Ejmiatsin Diana Gasparyan also came to greet and welcome the guests of the city.
The Acting Mayor expressed hope that the visit to Armenia will become one of the brightest memories of the participants and will be a stimulus to return to the homeland occasionally, and why not, for a permanent residence.
The participants will pay an educational-informative visit to Armenia until August 24.
