“Zangak” Song Studio of Ejmiatsin Culture House after Komitas has been recognized as the best vocal group of the year. The prize was awarded to the group within the scope of the "Handes Awards 2018". Throughout the year the company follows all the contests-festivals taking place in the Republic and out of it, the activities of groups and individual performers carrying out an activity in the capital city and in different regions making the selection of the winners with all responsibility.
Tsovinar Harutyunyan, the Artistic Director of Zangak Song Studio, considers the group’s achievements to be the result of diligence. During the year they did not miss any cultural events held in Ejmiatsin, they actively participated in many contest-festivals held in Armenia and abroad, returning with honorary awards.
More than 40 pupils study in the song studio today. According to them the secret of their success is always having live performances, which has helped to develop performing skills.
The artistic director of the group is convinced that in this sphere one has to be a good psychologist and show an individual approach to each pupil in order to achieve the best result. She is sure that they will keep the name of Ejmiatsin with honor still for a long time. The pupils' song list includes not only the songs by the artistic director but also Armenian and foreign hits.
