During the session of the Ejmiatsin City Council of Elders as of December 25, 2018, the area of a car wash on the intersection of Spandaryan and Michurin Streets, occupying an area of 217-square meter, having no document of title and registered as the property of an "unknown" citizen was recognized as the property of the community. The decision came into force from the moment of its adoption. Due to the fact that the car wash is considered an unauthorized structure, built in significant violation of numerous urban planning norms, the city authorities have offered the person who carried out the unauthorized structure to repair the damage to the city within a reasonable time.
In particular, the necessary visibility triangles and fire-fighting requirements were not maintained at the intersections of the streets, besides according to the general plan of the city, that area is not intended for the construction of such building. In this connection, within the scope of the fight against illegal land seizures and illegal construction, an agreement was reached with the person who carried out the unauthorized construction on dismantling the car wash. The dismantling works are in process.
The Municipality of Ejmiatisn once again reminds the citizens to refrain from illegal constructions. No construction without permit will be carried out in Ejmiatsin.
