The events devoted to Komitas continue in Ejmiatsin. Another event was marked by a concert-lecture and exhibition devoted to the 150th anniversary of Vardapet, held on the initiative of the Municipality and "Artprogress" cultural non-governmental organization in the Music School №1 after Makar Yekmalyan.
Head of the RA Armavir Region Hambardzum Matevosyan and Mayor of Ejmiatsin Diana Gasparyan were present at the event devoted to the founder of the Armenian national musicology.
Seda Sheyranyan, the lecturer at the Department of Music History of Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas, delivered a lecture, revealing the facts of Vardapet's activity that are not very familiar to the public.
‘’Agape’’ Chamber Choir, ‘’Velvet’’ String Quartet, Vardan Torosyan, Lusine Nersisyan, Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, Anush Martirosyan and Artyom Harutyunyan, the artistic director of the concert, performed works by Komitas.
The works of the pupils of Ejmiatsin Fine-Arts School after Yeghishe Tadevosyan about Komitas were exhibited in the hall of the Music School. Those present walked around, got acquainted with the presented works and enjoyed one wonderful day about Komitas.
