The French spirit greeted the guests from the entrance of Vagharshapat №11 basic school and French culture was soaring inside the walls. The reason for this was Thomas Miauton's play "The King Children’s Island" directed by the school troupe "Le Bizar". The idea of staging a French-language play came from Anna Asatryan, a French language teacher sent to school within the scope of the program ''Teach Armenia''.
The honorary guests of the event were Jonathan Lacôte, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of France to the Republic of Armenia, MP Argishti Mekhakyan, Hambardzum Matevosyan, the Head of Armavir Region and Mayor of Ejmiatsin Diana Gasparyan.
At the end of the performance, the Head of the Region awarded a group of schoolchildren certificates of honor for participating in National Theater Festival of Young Francophones ''Avant Scene'', and noted in his speech that the city of Ejmiatsin had recently become a point of cooperation between the parties. Underlining the great contribution of Ambassador Lacôte, the Head of the Region expressed his sincere gratitude to the friendly people of France for the projects implemented in Ejmiatsin.
