The solemn opening of the ''Machanents'' International Art Symposium 2019 entitled ''The Kiss of the Brushes'' took place in ''Cross of Armenian Unity'' CCNGO. 26 artists from 7 countries participate in the symposium this year.
During the event, Grigor Machanents Babakhanyan, the founder of ''Cross of Armenian Unity'' CCNGO and Machanents International Art Symposium, delivered a welcoming speech for the participants and guests of the symposium.
''The event is called "The Kiss of the Brushes" because there are untranslatable things in the world - love, kiss. There are many phenomena in the world that separate people, so it's time to create phenomena that will unite us. Love is among these phenomena. We welcome all the painters who came from all over the world and who will leave their love here - in the Promised Land''.
This year the Union of Painters of Armenia became the partner of the symposium.
The event was attended by Levon Abrahamyan, the Vice-President of the Union, who during his speech also pointed out the importance of the idea of the unity.
"Our hearts are full of great joy today. Such events are necessary because we are all united with love and that love brings us to the understanding of the Earth without borders. The collaboration of the Painters' Union and such organizations can bring new light sources to the Earth which will unite people."
During the event, the participants were given clay tiles on which they should leave the trace of their kiss.
At the end of the event, all the participants performed the anthem of the Machanents International Art Symposium, the author of which is painter Pavel Muntiev, the participant of the Symposium.
The exhibition of the symposium will be open on August 20. At the same time "The Wall of the Untranslated Kiss" with the traces of the participants' lips, will also be open.
