SPORTS FESTIVAL 2019
The annual sports festival initiated by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia was held in the park close to Ejmiatsin Municipality. This year about 500 athletes from Ejmiatsin representing 7 sports participated in the festival.
The sports festival has been held in all regions of Armenia and Artsakh for 16 years. The aim of it is to propagate a healthy lifestyle, popularize physical culture and sports, promote the active rest of the population and restore the tradition of organizing physical culture days in the communities.
Each year the athletes from Ejmiatsin participate in the festival with honor. The proof of which is the fact that the city was recognized as the winner of the previous year festival.
Mayor of Ejmiatsin Diana Gasparyan handed over the certificates and awards of the Ministry to the winners.
