Օn the rocky path of state formation and establishment, our independent country has suffered many difficulties during these years, has lost many children, on whose pillars our statehood is relying, pillars that have been built at the cost of their lives and painted in the color of their blood. Today we have paid our respects to the memory of our martyred brothers, remembering and reminding that they are the creators and preservers of the independence and the best way to perpetuate their memory is to have a strong and prosperous country for their descendants to live.
Head of Armavir Region Hambardzum Matevosyan, Mayor of Ejmiatsin Diana Gasparyan, relatives of the fallen soldiers, military, police, clergy and representatives of various public spheres attended the ceremony to pay homage to them. In gratitude for the fallen heroes of our city Mayor Diana Gasparyan handed letters of homage to their relatives.
Today is also the birthday of Armen Vardanyan, the police colonel from Ejmiatsin, who lost his life during the last Artsakh war, during the defensive battles of Shushi. The film dedicated to his life was demonstrated in the Municipality.
Acknowledgment of the importance of independence should be instilled in our generations from childhood, to form educated and knowledgeable citizens who realize the value of independence and the opportunities it provides.
